The Emmanuel College women's cross country team took two individual qualifiers to the NAIA Nationals in Lawrence, KS on November 23 at Rim Rock Farm.

Senior Andrea Langley and sophomore Lindsey Toole represented the Lady Lions as members on the SSAC All-Conference team, finishing at the top among runners from the SSAC.

Langley, who also competed in the 2012 championship, placed 150th among the field of 319 runners with a time of 19:36.31 for an average of 6:18 per mile, nearly a minute faster than last year's performance of 20:34 for the 5k race.

"Andrea ran a very competitive and tough race today, finishing off a successful running career at Emmanuel" shares Coach Ben Hall. "I'm proud of her higher finish at this year's championship."

Teammate Lindsey Toole competed in her first NAIA National Championship and ran a time of 2:30.40 placing 230th.

"This was a great championship experience for Lindsey," expresses Hall. "To know what it feels like to toe the line with the nation's best will be helpful for future years! Despite the nerves and colder weather than she's used to, she still ran really well!"
