Women’s Volleyball team would like to announce three new signee

Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel College Women's Volleyball team would like to announce three new signees. Coach Inga Kurgonaite has been working very hard at infusing new talent into the program for next season. Coach K has been on the road trying to find the best fit for her first season as a head coach. Below are the young ladies that have committed to the 2015 Lions recruiting class.

Nicole Kraning is a 5'4" libero/defensive specialist that will be coming to us from Land 0'Lakes High School in Florida. Nicole received the graduation distinction of Magna Cum Laude with a 4.4 weighted GPA which will fit in well with the academic standards of Emmanuel. Athletically, Nicole has been selected All-Conference all four years, team MVP 2013-2015, and also received the 2015 Female Golden Gator award from her high school as the top female athlete for the class of 2015. Coach K added, "Nikki is a great addition to our team, not only will she bring a positive attitude on the court but she will be an asset in the back row. I am extremely impressed with her hustle and determination to keep the ball alive."

Kylah Maxwell-Brown is a 5'10" outside hitter from Douglasville, GA. Kylah played for Chapel Hill High School throughout her high school career. Academically Kylah has a large list of accomplishments, but being the Salutatorian of the class of 2015 has to be at the top. Some of the other academic accomplishments include Douglas County Board Scholar, Honor Graduate, Georgia Merit Scholar Award, AP Scholar, as well as many outstanding achievements. Athletically Kylah has received personal awards of team MVP, All County, All Area, and Player of the Year. Coach K said, "I am very excited Kylah will be joining our team in the fall. She is a very smart and well-rounded player who will develop into an offensive threat on the court. She has a lot of potential and I cannot wait to work with her on the court."

Payton Seay is a 6'2" middle hitter also from Douglasville, GA. Payton attended South Paulding High School and played club volleyball for West Georgia Volleyball Academy with Kylah. Payton has set school records in blocks and kills in a season as well as being voted as the best offensive player in her high school. Last year she was selected to be on the All Area first team. "Knowing that Payton and Kylah have played well together at the club level we are hoping to expand on that here at Emmanuel. Payton adds height in the Middle Hitter positon for us next season. She brings a set of defensive and offensive skills which will help us slow down some strong offensive opponents," adds Coach K.
