Lady Lions Compete at Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The lady lions traveled to Columbia, South Carolina to compete at the Gamecock Invitational Outdoor. In the 100 meter dash, senior and team captain Deja Barthell ran a college PR with a time of 12.45. In the 100 meter hurdles, both Alisha and Clara lowered their personal records to a 14.42 and 15.35; Wright also lowered her school record for the fourth time this season.  The middle distance ladies consisting of Dominga Ortega and Erin Putnam ended their season with PRs of 2:44.64 and 2:58.93. The 4x100 meter relay lowered their season best and school record for the fourth time this season with a 47.62 thanks to Barthell, Sutherland, Heiss, and Teasley.  

Freshman Clara Heiss improves her PR and school record in pole vaulting by setting a mark of 10'2 for the fourth time this outdoor season.

The ladies lions have concluded their regular season and will be heading to their first Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Central, South Carolina.
