ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS ANNOUNCED

ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS ANNOUNCED

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, March 20, 2015

High Point, N.C. - Conference Carolinas is proud to announce the 2014-2015 Indoor Track and Field Academic All-Conference teams. "Academics and Athletics Working Together" is the foundational principle of the conference and these student-athletes and member institutions which they represent exemplify this commitment.

A total of 67 indoor track and field student-athletes have been named to the teams for the 2014-2015 season. Conference Carolinas' academic all-conference teams are comprised of junior and senior student-athletes who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.

The Indoor Track and Field season has completed, with the University of Mount Olive taking the title of champion for both men and women. The Outdoor Track and Field season is now underway, with all teams, save the North Greenville women, competing in events this weekend.
