TRAVELERS Rest, S.C.—The Emmanuel College Women's Track and Field team competed at their last season meet before conference at the Furman University Blue Shoes Invitational on March 12.

The Lady Lions performed extremely well this weekend at Furman despite the warm weather. The lady Lions got another NCCAA National qualifier; Jazmin Konnick. Konnick qualified in the 400 meters and 800 meters running a time of (1:01.44) and (2:24.79). With one more Lady Lion added to the NCCAA qualifying list the women also had many personal bests this past weekend.

"I think the girls did a wonderful job this weekend, even though it was 80 degrees everyone ran their fastest and gave everything they had," shares Jazmin Konnick. "I was so happy that I was able to qualify for NCCAA's, but I know that it wouldn't have been possible without my teammates and Coach Hall pushing me."

Coach Ben Hall had this to say about the meet, "Furman is always a warm meet, with little shade, but I'm pleased with our performances. We had several personal bests and more NCCAA qualifiers. This was a good positive uplift leading us into conference."
