EC Women's Soccer Takes Down Warriors 3-1.

CENTRAL, S.C. - The Emmanuel College women's soccer team defeated conference opponent Southern Wesleyan University, 3-1 on Wednesday night. This win brings the Lion's record to 7-3 overall, 5-2 in conference.

Sophomore Moriah Logue kicked off the night with a goal less than five minutes into the game. Junior Hannah Logue would score next in the 32nd minute to extend the EC lead. The Lions totaled 15 shots compared to only 4 from SWU in the first half.
 
The second half continued with another dominant Lion offense. In the 69th minute, Junior Lindsay Lee would score to bring the Lions up 3-0. Three minutes later, the Warriors were able to put a point on the board thanks to an Emmanuel foul setting them up with a penalty kick. SWU's Ashley Romanowski scored the goal. The time would expire without any more goals, allowing Emmanuel the 3-1 win.
 
Next up, the Lions return home for a conference match against North Greenville University on Saturday, October 12th.
