Women's Golf Sits in Fourth After Day 1 of Anderson Invitational

ANDERSON, SC - The Emmanuel College women's golf team traveled to Anderson, SC to compete in their first event of the 2019-2020 season, the Anderson University Invitational. The Lady Lions opened with a first round 327, putting them in 4th place in the 9 team field. 
The South Atlantic Conference defending champion Anderson University leads after round one, shooting a 19 over par 307. Catawba College shot 321, while the Conference Carolinas defending champion, Limestone College, finished day 1 with a 322. Emmanuel College rounded out the top 4 with their opening 327. 
The Lady Lions were led by freshman Caitlynn Reuter, whose 6 over par round of 78 puts her tied for 5th in the 52 lady field. Sophomore Allie Cobb and freshman Paulina Herrera shot matching rounds of 81, putting them tied for 15th place. Sophomore Aleah Hylton rounded out the top 4 for the Lady Lions. 
The action will continue tomorrow morning (September 10), in the final round of the 2019 Anderson University Invitational.
