Emmanuel Rolls Past Wesleyan College

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga – The Emmanuel College women's basketball team took on Wesleyan College on Wednesday evening. The Lions defeated the Wolves 109-39.

Emmanuel took control early on, taking an 18-point lead by the end of the first quarter, 24-6. The Lions continued to dominate throughout the rest of the first half as sophomore Jazmin Allen scored 14 points. After 20 minutes of play, Emmanuel went into halftime leading 57-20.

Emmanuel continued to control the game in the second half as 17 ladies on the Lion's roster combined for points. Jazmin Allen led the way for the Lions as she scored 19 points en route to a 70-point win, 109-39.

Emmanuel finished with a 61.3 field goal percentage and shot 47.4% from beyond the arc. Allen combined her 19 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assists, while junior Breanna Locke followed with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Emmanuel also won the turnover battle with 13, while Wesleyan had 26.

Next up, women's basketball will take on Newberry on Friday, November 22, at 5:30 P.M.
