Emmanuel Lady Lions Basketball Announces 2019 Recruiting Class

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The 2019 recruiting class has been released by Head Coach Mike Bona and Assistant Coach Timia Reynolds for this fall. This recruiting class has a total of five talented and outstanding high school seniors and two very experienced and talented college transfers. 

First at the guard position is freshman Ashley Scott from Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch Georgia.

Ashley is a 5'7" shooting guard that has the ability to shoot from an extremely long range. She tied the high school record in a game this year by hitting 7 threes. She will have an immediate impact at the two guard position this year. 

Another freshman standout is guard Lindsay Pruitt from Roswell High School in Roswell Georgia. Lindsay is a 5'10"combo guard that can play all three guard positions for the Lady Lions. She can knock down the three point shot, put the ball on the floor, is an excellent passer, and is a good defender. Her versatility will be a great asset to this year's team. 

At the forward position is freshman Jeanetta Elder. Standing at 6'2" and from Cedar Shoals High School in Athens Georgia, Jeanetta has good size and length, can run the court well, and is capable of scoring both inside and away from the basket. Her ability to run the floor and rebound will be a big asset to this year's team.

Another forward joining the Lady Lions is 6'1" freshman standout Reyonna Hopkins from Eagles Landing High School in McDonough Georgia. Reyonna a lefty is capable of stepping out and shooting the three ball, is really strong inside around the basket, and can be a scorer and rebounding force for this year's club. Reyonna will play a big role in the future success of the Lady Lions this year. 

At the post position is 6'2" freshman Amber Williams from Banks County High School in Homer Georgia. Amber has the ability to really score around the post position but is also capable of stepping away from the basket and scoring outside as well. Amber will strongly contribute to the inside strength of this year's team. 

The two college transfers coming to join the Lady Lions this fall are Junior Morgan Simmons and Sophomore Jazmin Allen.

Morgan who played at Wingate University her first two years played in High School at Mill Creek in Lawrenceville Georgia where she was a standout player. Morgan is a 5'7" shooting guard with deadly long range accuracy. Her experience and ability to score from the three point line will be a pleasant addition to this year team. The other transfer is Jazmin Allen a 6'0" forward from Chattanooga State Junior College and Jefferson High School in Jefferson Georgia. Jazmin was an outstanding player in High School and has the capability of playing multiple different positions for the Lady Lions which will make her a valuable addition to this years team. Her ability to run the floor, shoot the three ball, get to the basket, and post up will be strong assets for this year's addition of the Lady Lions. GO LADY LIONS!
