Reynolds Leads Lions to 4-0

SPARTANBURG, SC - The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball team have claimed their fourth straight victory with a big win over Converse College on Tuesday night. Junior guard Timia Reynolds top scored with 22 points, while also recording 4 steals and 5 rebounds. Emmanuel made 90% of their free throws, and scored an impressive 16 fast break points. After the first round of conference competition Emmanuel are sitting at the top of the table, with another 4 win team, Limestone, following closely behind. Emmanuel was quick off the mark, racing to a 22-7 lead at the first break.

The Valkyries struggled to keep up with the pace of the Lions, and were not able to find their feet until the fourth quarter, by which time the deficit was too large to make up. Alesia Fagin had another solid day with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists, while Addie McNeely added another 13 points off the bench.

Timia Reynolds reflected on the 76-48 victory saying: "It was a great win!" We had great defensive energy that really drove us the whole game. I'm proud that we were able to stay focused before going on our Thanksgiving Break. When we play the way we did tonight, it's a lot of fun!" Emmanuel will be back on the home court on Tuesday evening when they take on North Greenville University at 5:30pm.
