Clay Target Has Strong Performance at SCTP Nationals

MARENGO, OH. - The Emmanuel College clay target team traveled to the Cardinal Shooting Center to compete in the 2019 Scholastic Clay Target Program Collegiate Nationals. 

The team finished 1st in 5-stand with 201/250, Bunker Trap 182/250, and Sporting Clays 855/1000. They also finished 2nd in Skeet and in Trap.

The team finished 2nd overall in Division II breaking 2,768 out of 3,000 targets.  

 

Individual awards were for:

Austin Cosper (Sophomore)— 1st in Bunker Trap with a score of 42/50.

Colton Evans (Junior) — 2nd in American Skeet with a score of 199/200.

Aaron Copelan (Freshman)—2nd in 5-stand with a score of 42/50.

Reese Duffell (Sophomore)— 3rd in 5-stand with a score of 42/50.

Next up, the team will travel to Glenn Dale, Maryland November 9-10 to compete in the ACUI Upper East Coast Conference Championship at the Prince George's County Trap and Skeet Club.
