Men Compete at Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The men traveled to Columbia, South Carolina to compete at the Gamecock Inviational Outdoor. In the 100 meter dash, senior and team captain Michael Guinn lowers his PR to a 11.20, while freshman Jaylin Holiday lowers his college PR to 11.54. In the 400 meter dash, sophomore Sulaimane Bangura made it to the invitational portion of the meet and ran a PR and school record with a time of 46.79; ranking him top 8 in the NCAA Division II league. In the 400 meter hurdles, Devin Veasley lowered his personal record to a 1:01.95. In the 1500 meter run both DaMonte' and Mugisha ran 4:15 respectfully and lowered their own personal records.  

The 4x100 meter relay lowered their season best and school record to a 42.30 thanks to Veasley, Guinn, Blake, and Bangura. On the field side, Juan Soto improved his PR and school record in pole vaulting after setting a mark of 14'3.25.

The men concluded their regular season and will be competing at their first Conference Carolina Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Central, South Carolina in two weeks.
