On the field side, Heiss made her season debut in pole vaulting as the women's wild card and finished 5th overall and raised the school record with a vault of 9'9. The women finished 7th overall at their first indoor conference championships and are looking forward towards their outdoor seasons.

On the men's side, there were several outstanding performances across the board. Despite not making it to the finals, Michael Guinn lowered his PR to a 7.16 in the 60 meter dash. Sophomore Sualmaine Bangura finished 7th in the 200 meter dash with a 22.65 but finished 2nd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.08. On the field side, junior Juan Soto finished 2nd in pole vaulting with a height of 14'2.50 making that his new PR and program's indoor school record. The men finished 6th overall and are getting ready for the outdoor season.

"On the women's side, I personally felt Kristen made the most noise and got the team started off in the right direction," Said Head Coach Chyna Davis. "Despite not making it to the finals in the hurdles, Clara stepped up to the plate by scoring some points in the women's pole vaulting. Lastly, Alisha does her part by showing up when it is expected. She did it at nationals last year and she did it this year at conference. She is someone I can count on to run a certain time and score points out of."

"On the men's side, Juan got the men's side fired up after he finished 2nd with a new PR and school record," Coach Davis continued. "He was the first guy to put points on the board and that really got my guys fired up. Sully really turned some heads in the conference by finishing 2nd, despite being ranked 4th and then cared that same momentum in the 200 by scoring some unexpected points for us. Some more unexpected points came from sophomore Hargrove after he finished 5th in both the mile and 3k. Lastly, DaMonte' captured 2nd in the 800 after a huge sprint the last 200 meters of his race. I'm really excited to see what this outdoor season has in stored for us."
