SEWANEE, TN --- Friday, October 30, 2015. The lions travelled to Sewanee, TN for the 15th Annual Sewanee Invitational, a two day meet, hosted by Sewanee University of the South. 

Congratulations goes to EC swimmers, Adrian Aleksandrowicz who broke the meet record in the men's 50 yard backstroke (24.62); Camilo Mendoza who broke the meet record in the men's 100 IM (53.33). 

Day 1 
In the Stroke events, Mendoza finished 1st in the 50 breast (27.71), Reichenbach placed 3rd (28.48), Bonna was 15th (32.28), Foxworth 19th (37.79), Howe 20th (40.02), Eavenson 21st (43.56). In the 50 back, Aleksandrowicz placed 1st (24.62), Pendergraft 7th (27.19), Foxworth 15th (32.96), Rabern 16th (32.98), Eavenson 17th (37.85), Howe 18th (40.05). 

In the men's 100 IM, Mendoza placed 1st (53.33), Reichenbach 2nd (55.82), Aguilar 3rd (56.83), Aleksandrowicz 10th (59.00), and Nicholson 22nd (1:06.19). In the 50 fly, Aguilar placed 1st (24.34), Pendergraft 10th (25.98), Raczynski 14th (26.46), Bonna 15th (26.49), Wood 22nd (34.52). 

In the Distance events, Raczynski placed 1st in the 1650 free (17:20.83), Nicholson placed 7th (19:14.83), Rabern placed 9th (21:03.66). 
In the Relays, Aleksandrowicz, Mendoza, Aguilar, Reichenbach placed 1st in the 100 medley relay (44.96) just missing the meet record of 44.93. Nicholson, Rabern, Pendergraft, Wood placed 2nd in the 100 free relay (43.76). 


Head Coach, Allen Gilchrest, commented; "Our men are working hard in practice and the times are showing. The guys won 6 out of 7 events tonight, competing against 8 other teams; that is very difficult to do. Camilo Mendoza continues to lead the team in the pool, finishing 1st in both his individual events tonight, setting the EC school record (and meet record) in the 100 IM, which is a newly established event this year in the NCAA."
