Lions Defeat Skyhawks 164 to 53

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA --- October 10th, 2015, The Emmanuel College lions welcomed Point University for their second home swim meet of the season.  After the opening of the national anthem, by EC's very own swimmers,  Paisley Whitaker and prayer by Wyatt Nicholson, the action began!

In the Stroke events, Aguilar pulled out a 1st place finish posting a time of (55.78) in the men's 100 yard fly. Reichenbach placed 1st in the 50 fly (25.23) and right behind him, Bonna placing 2nd with (26.21). Aleksandrowicz (24.95) and Reichenbach (26.56) placed 1st and 2nd in the 50 back. Mendoza placed 1st (28.57) in the 50 breaststroke. Mendoza and Bonna went 1-2 in the 100 breast (1:03.93) and (1:08.56). The Men's 100 back had Aguilar placing 1st (1:03.23) and right behind him, Howe placing 2nd (1:25.64). Mendoza won the 200 IM placing 1st (1:58.59) following him was Aleksandrowicz placing 2nd (2:07.09). 

In the Sprint events, Aleksandrowicz placed 1st (48.62) and Nicholson placed 3rd (59.45) in the men's 100 yard free. Pendergraft, (2:03.51) Rabern (2:14.01), and Eavenson (2:40.79) then placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 200 free. The Lions again went 1-2-3 in an event, 50 free placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd back to back with Reichenbach (22.51), Bonna (23.35), and Rabern (25.82).

In the Distance events, Nicholson placed 2nd in the Men's 500 (5:42:83) followed by Pendergraft placing 3rd (5:49.19). Nicholson then finished 2nd in the 1000 free (11:25.65).

In the Relays,  Aleksandrowicz, Mendoza, Aguilar and Reichenbach started the day off with a time of 1:42.66 for first place in the 200 yard medley relay. In the 200 free relay (Pendergraft, Rabern, Nicholson, Bonna) ending the meet with an exciting 1st place finish of (1:38.78).
