Christiansburg, VA: Day 3 of prelims at the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships, the Lion's broke 3 more school records, swam 9 lifetime best times, and earned 7 spots in the finals.
For the Women, Diana Tobo swam the 200 back (2:06.85) and is seeded 2nd for tonight's final. In the 100 freestyle, Savannah Gratz finished 19th (58.51), Senior Jenna Lamont finished 24th in a personal best time (1:00.74), and Senior Stephanie Canady finished 30th in a personal best time (1:11.44).
In the 200 breaststroke, Emma Tamblyn dropped 8 seconds off her best time to qualify 11th for tonight's finals (2:40.16) and set the new EC school record. Laura Gonzalez was the top women's overall qualifier in the 200 yard butterfly, taking three seconds off her own school record (2:09.81).
For the Men, Andrew Reichenbach swam the 200 back (2:02.94) and is seeded 11th for tonight's final. Hayden Pendergraft (2:04.97) is seeded 16th. Freshmen Adrian Aleksandrowicz touched the wall in 3rd place in a new EC school record time of 46.82. Zach Dunlap finished 44th in a personal best time of 1:07.03 and Ben Eavenson dropped 5 seconds of his personal best (1:10.40) for 45th place.
Tonight's final also includes the 1650 free and 400 freestyle relays.
