Park And Palma Finish Men's Soccer Season With Conference Accolades

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer All-Conference awards were officially unveiled by the league office on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019.

The league's head coaches picked this year's honorees. The teams are comprised of the top vote-receivers at forward (three each), midfield (three each), defender (three each), goalkeeper (one each) and highest remaining vote-receiver (one each).

Last year's Freshman of the Year, Chowan's Harrison Ardron has been tabbed as the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. A native of Blackpool, England, Ardron netted 12 goals this season. The sophomore had a total of 26 points. In conference play, Ardron had nine goals and one assist. Ardron is Chowan's first-ever Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Year.

A junior from Tuxford, England, Sims repeats as Defensive Player of the Year after also earning the honor in 2018 . Sims played in and started in 14 matches during the regular season overall. He started nine matches in conference play. He had an impressive five goals and two assists on the year in conference play from his defensive position. Sims last season was the first-ever Chowan men's soccer player to earn the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year honor.

Belmont Abbey freshman Kevin Daly was voted by the league's head coaches as the Freshman of the Year. The Gainesville, Fla. native started nine matches in conference play. He had one assist in Belmont Abbey's 3-1 win over King on Oct. 12. He is Belmont Abbey's first-ever Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Freshman of the Year.

Erskine head coach Warren Turner was named the Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year after guiding the Flying Fleet to a third-place finish in the league after being picked by the head coaches prior to the season to finish ninth. The 12th-year Flying Fleet head coach has now earned the award three times in his career (2010, 2013 and 2019).
