FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's soccer team fell to conference opponent Limestone College on Sunday. This loss brings the Lions record to 7-4-1 overall, 4-2-1 in conference.
The Saints got off to an early lead when Sebastian Marx scored their first goal ten minutes into the game. A solid Limestone offense allowed them control for most of the half as they prevented Emmanuel from taking any shots.
In the second half, the Lions began to improve offensively, but not before another goal from Limestone. Facing a 2-0 deficit, Emmanuel's Cian Walder scored a goal off of an assist from Jeremy Gwaltney. Emmanuel would attempt two more unsuccessful shots before the time expired, giving Limestone the victory 2-1.
Next up, the Lions travel to Newberry on Wednesday, October 23rd.
