Scoreless Night Results in Draw for Men's Soccer
BELMONT, N.C. - The Emmanuel College men's soccer team had their first draw of the season against conference opponent Belmont Abbey. The teams battled for a total of 110 minutes after double overtime. Despite 39 total shots between both teams, the game ended scoreless, bringing the Lions record to 5-1-1 overall, 2-0-1 in conference.
 
The Lions had a strong offensive game, shooting 19 total shots with 11 on goal. Unfortunately for the Lions, they were unable to find the net as the BAC goalkeeper tallied 11 saves. Emmanuel goalkeeper Giuliano Palma prevented the Crusaders from scoring any of their shots with 5 saves on the night.
 
Freshman Harrison Wright led all players with 4 total shots. 
 
Next up, the Lions will continue conference play on the road against Lees-McRae on Saturday, October 5th.
