Men’s Soccer Suffers 3-2 Loss to Erskine

DUE WEST, S.C. - Men's soccer took on Erskine College on Tuesday night in their final week of regular season play. Despite leading two separate times, Emmanuel fell to the Flying Fleet 2-3.

The first goal of the game came two and half minutes into the second half when Senior Channing Park scored his 4th goal of the season.

Erskine's Alex Mushata followed up with a goal on his second shot after his first ricocheted off Senior keeper Andy Dunnett.

Just twelve seconds later, Park would return with another goal, this time off an assist from Senior Nico Becker.

Dario Pavon from Erskine then tied up the score with a successful free kick from about 35 yards out.

The teams continued to battle it out in the final minutes of the game. Then, with just over seven minutes left, the Lions had a detrimental foul that would result in Erskine scoring the game winning goal on a penalty kick. Emmanuel was unable to score in the final minutes, resulting in a 2-3 loss.

The Lions will continue action on Thursday, October 25th with their final regular season game against Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, NC.
