FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - After 110 minutes of play including double overtime, the Emmanuel College men's soccer team tied 1-1 with conference opponent Barton College on Saturday night.
The first half remained scoreless, despite 5 corner kicks and 11 shots between the teams.
Finally, less than two minutes into the second half, Junior Danny McKerchar Cameron connected with Junior Jeremy Gwaltney who fired a shot into the bottom left corner of the net. The Lions one point lead would be short lived, however, when Ruben Mancio of Barton College would find an opportunity just 9 seconds later to tie up the game.
The rest of the match remained scoreless, with Emmanuel controlling the field most of the time. The Lions had 26 shots compared to the Bulldogs 10, as well as 10 more corner kicks.
Cameron led the Lions in shots with 7, including 2 on goal. Senior Andy Dunnett tallied 5 saves.
