Men's Golf Wraps Up Day One of Donald Ross Intercollegiate

MORGANTON, NC - The Emmanuel College men's golf team traveled to Morganton, North Carolina, to compete in the 2019 Donald Ross Intercollegiate. 
The 16 team field played 36 holes on Monday for the first two rounds. The Lions shot 310-306 and are in 14th place heading into the final round on Tuesday. 
Belmont Abbey College leads the 16 team field after the first day with rounds of 291 and 274.
Logan Reese led the way for Emmanuel, shooting 148 (72-76). Emilio Fanjul shot 152 with back-to-back 76s. Ty Metts followed with a 157 after shooting 80-77. Chris Stowe had the biggest improvement between rounds, following his opening 82 with a 77 for a 159 total. Lukas Waldhagen rounded out the lineup with a 169 (85-84). 
The Lions will continue the action tomorrow, October 15th, with the final round of the 2019 Donald Ross Intercollegiate.
