FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – Emmanuel College would like to recognize surging golfer Garrett Bailey for his outstanding season thus far. Garrett has consistently improved his game throughout his collegiate career, and continues to display a strong sense of focus hard work at practice and in tournaments.
The Emmanuel Invitational at Cateechee Golf Course in Hartwell, Georgia displayed Bailey's dedication to the team and to the game of golf. He has been impressive all season, and he now holds records as a result of his passion for the game. At the Emmanuel Invitational, Garrett posted a two-day tournament score of 3-under par, a score that was good enough to win the tournament by 3 strokes. This two-day total of 141 was strong enough to earn a spring tournament record at the Emmanuel Invitational. This score also broke a school record for Emmanuel College for a two-day tournament.
Coach Howard Eaton has always known Garrett's potential. "I always knew he could do it. It was just a matter of him convincing himself he can do it," says Eaton. "I'm excited to see how well he plays next year in his senior season."
