Men's Bowling Finishes 1st and 2nd at Opening Tournaments

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Emmanuel College men's bowling team had a strong showing over the weekend as they competed in the Louisville Classic on Saturday and the Thomas Burris Memorial on Sunday. In all, 25 Varsity teams and 13 JV teams competed in the 200+ bowler field

The men's varsity team kicked off their weekend with a 1st place finish at Saturday's Louisville Classic. Junior Steven Faulkner placed first among 200+ bowlers and was the tournament MVP with a tournament average of 228. The JV team placed 8th, led by Freshman Logan Mathis.

Action continued on Sunday at the Thomas Burris Memorial. This time is was Junior Ryan Lopano who led the Lions to a 2nd place team finish. Lopano placed first overall with a tournament average of 240.8 and was named Tournament MVP. The JV team improved from Saturday's performance, finishing in 6th place. Sophomore Stephen Lackey led the team with a 204 average.

The men will continue action on Saturday, October 19th at the FSU Seminole Classic.
