DETROIT, Mi. - Several Emmanuel College Bowlers competed at the USBC National Jr Gold Youth Bowling Championships this past week. The qualifying sessions lasted five days and consisted of over 800 competitors. The top four bowlers from the qualifying sessions are chosen to represent Team USA - the most prestigious award in bowling.
Emmanuel's Peyton Smith had an incredible performance to take a 4th place finish, earning him a coveted spot on Team USA. Peyton will begin his Junior year at Emmanuel this Fall and has been very instrumental in the success of the Men's Bowling Team.
Emmanuel was well represented at the Annual USBC Jr Gold Championships with several other stellar performances. Steven Faulkner and Patrick Phillips went all the way to the final advances round top 64 along with Peyton in the Men's U20 Division. On the women's side, Arianna Campbell also made it to the final advances round in the Ladies U20 Division, while incoming Freshman Natily Haro made an impressive run through the Advances round but came up a few pins short of making the final advances round.
