FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's basketball team was defeated by the University of North Georgia 75-68 on Wednesday night. This loss brings the Lions record to 0-3 overall.
The game consisted of 14 ties and 16 lead changes and started with a very close first half. EC and UNG had identical starts with both teams totaling 15 rebounds while putting up 31 points off of 13 total field goals, 3 three-pointers, and 2 free throws.
When action continued into the second half, the teams continued to play at a similar pace. The Lions put up another 31 points off of field goals compared to only 28 from their opponent, but several EC fouls cost them. UNG capitalized on 16 more free throw attempts than the Lions, proving to be the difference in the game. North Georgia captured the win 75-68.
Next up, the Lions will travel to Wingate University on Saturday, November 16th.
