FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's basketball team defeated conference opponent North Greenville on Monday night, 98-72 in the Williamson Basketball Arena. This win brings the Lions record to 16-6 overall, 9-0 conference.
The game remained scoreless for the first two minutes before Senior Kendrick Colvin sparked some fire with a big dunk. The Lions used the momentum to turn up their scoring, putting up 50 points in the first half, including 27 points from the bench.
With a hefty 18 point lead coming back from halftime, the Lions never slowed down. Sophomore Brandon Simpson had one of his highest scoring halves with 20 points. The men shot 54.8% from the floor and put up another 48 points. The Lions went on to close out the game 98-72.
Brandon Simpson led all players with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lions will wrap up their string of home games on Saturday, January 26th against King University at 4:00pm.
