She currently administers all compliance for 27 sports and over 560 student-athletes, including compliance governance by NCAA DII, NCCAA, USA Archery, WCWA, ACUI, US Bowling, and NCWA.
Over the past 5 years, Ms. Allen has assisted in overseeing the transition from NAIA to NCAA DII and implemented a strong culture of compliance among the growing athletic department. She has been instrumental in the creation and administration of department policies and procedures as well as authored the Emmanuel College Athletic Compliance Manual. She also directly helped in the creation of the Emmanuel college athletic department strategic plan and gender equity/diversity plan. Bridget has successfully developed and currently administers monthly rules education. She actively serves on the Athletic Community Outreach Committee (Chair), Gender Equity and Diversity sub-committee for Athletics, Athletic Leadership Team, Compliance Committee, and NCAA Transition Team.
As the chair of the Athletic Community Outreach Committee, Bridget has developed several opportunities for athletic staff and student-athletes to help support and engage the local community. These opportunities included an annual Fall Carnival and Spring Easter day free of charge to the local community. Each event features give-a-ways, free prizes, and events led by student-athletes. Ms. Allen has also helped develop a Christmas list drive during the holidays, Easter basket drive, and opportunities to provide items for other local institutions in need.
"We couldn’t be more blessed to have Bridget in the role of Compliance and as an Athletic Administrator here at Emmanuel. On top of seamlessly monitoring and administering compliance, she finds time to keep our community efforts as a priority. It’s a reflection of where her head is and exactly the type of Administrators our department needs.” says, Director of Athletics Nate Moorman.
Bridget received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Brenau University in 2007 and is currently working on her Masters of Science in Accounting. She is the proud Mother of Tre Blakely who currently attends Georgia Southern University.
