MEN SWIMMING MOVES TO 5-1

Savannah, Ga.: The Emmanuel College Men's swimming team traveled to Savannah, Ga. for a head-to-head dual meet against SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design). The Lions had their first dual meet loss since the 2016-2017 season.

 

How it happened:

In the 200 medley relay, the A relay (Arruabarrena, Courteaux, Mendes, Rosa) finished 2nd (1:35.15) the B relay (Jones, Riano, Hayes, Brown) finished 4th (1:39.84)

 

In the 1000 free, Stanislas Raczynski finished 1st (9:43) Harrison Andrews 5th (12:01) Simon Roberts 6th (12:15)

In the 200 free, Alasdair McGhee finished 2nd (1:44.49) Rafael Mendes 3rd (1:44.93)

In the 50 free, Thiago Rosa finished 1st (21.29) Theo Courteaux 5th (23.27)

In the 200 IM, Ander Arruabarrena finished 2nd (1:54.07) Robert Jones 5th (2:08.00)

 

In the 100 fly, Sebastian Riano finished 3rd (53.03) Rafael Mendes 4th (53.44) David Brown 5th (56.14)

In the 100 free, Thiago Rosa finished 1st (46.09) Simon Roberts 5th (55.13)

In the 100 back, Ander Arruabarrena finished 2nd (51.84) Hunter Hayes 4th (56.40) Alasdair McGhee 6th (57.96)

In the 500 free, Stanislas Raczynski finished 1st (4:41.31) Harrison Andrews 5th (5:34.71)

 

In the 100 breast, Sebastian Riano finished 3rd (59.58) Theo Courteaux 5th (59.99) Robert Jones 7th (1:04.76)

In the 200 free relay, the A relay (Roberts, McGhee, Andrews, Raczynski) finished 2nd (1:34.01)

 

Next up, the Lions head back to Savannah, Ga. November 29 – December 1, for the 14th annual SCAD Invitational. GO LIONS!
