Sophomore EC swimmer, Alex Sobers, had a good second swim on Saturday at the 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Sobers competed in the 100 LCM freestyle, winning his heat and swimming a personal best 51.12 for the event. Sobers finished 29th overall.
The Commonwealth Games have been conducted every four years (except for 1942 and 1946 due to World War II) since 1930. The Commonwealth Games have become a modern sporting spectacular that now includes 71 nations and over 6,000 athletes.
