Women's Volleyball Drops Match to Georgia College

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College Women's Volleyball Team took on Georgia College for the second time this season. In their previous match, the Bobcats won the match in 3 sets. Georgia College would once again take the match, but dropped a set along the way.

The Lions seemed to have great chemistry early on in the match. Strong blocks from middles Julie de Blanck (#9) and Mia McKensey (#14) proved to be difficult to deal with by Georgia College. The ladies narrowly lost the first set 25-23, and took the second set 27-25.

Going into set 3, the Lions lost their momentum and were unable to regain it back. The Bobcats took set three 25-15 and set four 15-12.

Emmanuel Was led by Julie de Blanck (#9) with 8 kills, 3 solo blocks, and 5 block assists. Setter Stephanie Hardy (#15) tallied 24 assists.

The Women's Volleyball team will play their next match at home against North Greenville University on Friday, Oct. 21. The first serve is set for 2:00pm.
