FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. — The Lady Lions Volleyball team started off the second day of the tournament with a match against the University of Alabama-Huntsville. While the Lions hoped to start off day two with a win, they were unable to defeat the Chargers. Alabama-Huntsville won their match in just three sets. The Lions didn't go down without a fight however, as they took UAH all the way to 30-28 in set one.
The Chargers won sets two and three 25-23 and 25-21. Emmanuel tallied 40 kills and 51 digs with big contributions from Hitters Guro Key Froberg (#3) and Julie de Blanck (#9) both with 10 kills.
The ladies played their second match this evening against Texas A & M International University's (TAMIU) Dirtdevils. Froeberg tallied 13 kills, de Blanck, 11, Sarah Neill (#18) 10, and Jenna Woodruff (#23) 11. Kassidy Wollett (#20) tallied 12 digs.
The Lady Lions won the match against the Dirtdevils 3-1. Making quick work of the first set, 25-17. In another quick set, they beat the Dirtdevils 25-14. TAMIU came back in the third set, winning 25-22, but the Lady Lions took the match, winning the fourth set 25-15.
