Lady Lions lose match at Hawks soccer field

MURFREESBORO, N.C. — The Lady Lions played Chowan's women's soccer team at the Hawks soccer field today, losing the game 0-5. Cowan scored one goal in the first half, and four in the second half. 
Goal keep Marina Eisenhut tallied eight saves. Stephanie Lamm (#2) made two shots, as well as the only two shots on goal for the Lady Lions. Emmanuel made only five shots: two by Lamm, one by Jessica Galvin (#4), and two by Lindsay Lee (#14). 
In the first half, Chowan scored a goal at 5:25. Their next several shots on goal were saved by the Lady Lions. Chowan then scored three goals in the second half between 47:22 and 52:44. They scored the final goal of the match at 85:41, playing another five minutes with no shots by either team. 
The Lady Lions will play their next match against Lander on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
