Lady Lions Soccer drop to SWU

Franklin Springs – G.A. The Lady Lions suffered a tough loss this evening against the Southern Wesleyan Warriors with a final score of 3-0. After this loss, the Lady Lions are 1-4-2 in conference play and 1-11-2 overall.

The Lady Lions defense came out strong in the first half of the game. The Lions attempted six shots that were unfortunately unsuccessful. Both teams played a strong defensive first half that resulted in a score of 0-0 after the first half.

During the second half, the Lady Lions remained strong until the 47th minuet of the game when the Warriors scored the first point of the game. Emmanuel didn't allow the score to dictate their determination; they tried to rally back by attempting three more shots that were ultimately unsuccessful. The Warriors went on to score two more goals, which resulted in a final score of 3-0. Regardless of the score, the Lady Lions fought hard during tonight's tough matchup.

Our Lady Lions will be back in action on October 19th to face Limestone at 5:00 PM.
