Women's Basketball Downs Young Harris

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - Senior Taylor Delasbour led the Lions with 11 points to their victory over Young Harris College on Saturday afternoon. The Lions went 5 for 12 at the three point line and grabbed 20 points on turnovers en route to their 54-41 victory.

Emmanuel found themselves trailing 7-0 in the first quarter before Sophomore Hanna Grogan put some points on the board. The ladies would lessen the gap thanks to successful shooting at the free throw line to end the quarter trailing 8-12.

Momentum began to shift for the Lions late in the second quarter when Sophomore Breanna Locke had a layup to take the lead. Junior Ajah Taylor would draw a foul on a successful layup to put three more points on the board before the quarter ended.

Now leading 22-18, The Lions returned from halftime with a stellar performance, putting up ten unanswered points against the Mountain Lions. The Lions retained the lead for the remainder of the game, winning 54-41.
