Brock Radaker Named Head Softball Coach

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - Brock Radaker has recently been named Head Coach of the Emmanuel College Softball team. 

Currently residing in Jefferson, Ga with his wife Missy and three children Jacob (15), Joseph (11) and Jessie (9), Coach Radaker is a former collegiate baseball player who played for Georgia State University from 1992-95. 

Brock's first collegiate coaching position was at NCAA Division I, Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa. Along with his wife Missy, he served as Co-Head Coach from 1999-2002. After moving back to Atlanta to raise their children, Brock coached baseball as the Assistant and then Head Varsity Coach at Alpharetta High School from 2006-2009. From there, he went on to coach softball with club teams Team One, Team Georgia, and Georgia Impact, all while working as a self employed softball and baseball hitting and fielding instructor for the past 15 years.

"I'd like to wish Coach Alexander the best in her new professional venture with her family. She is a fantastic person and coach and will be missed greatly by Emmanuel College," Radaker said. "I'd also like to thank Athletic Director, Nate Moorman, as well as the rest of the hiring committee for allowing me this opportunity to lead the Emmanuel College Softball Program into the 2017-18 season and beyond. Finally I'd like to thank all of the players, coaches, and parents from my time coaching in one of the most highly competitive club softball state's in the country, Georgia. Because of all of you, I have become a better coach, recruiter, and person. I am truly excited to be taking those experiences, along with my past experiences as a college coach, to Emmanuel College to help take the program to new heights!"

With his extensive background in coaching, Emmanuel College Athletics is thrilled to have Brock take over the Softball Team. He has already been enthusiasticaly accepted by the players on the team.

Coach Radaker will begin on Thursday as he prepares the ladies for their upcoming season.
