Burgamy Finishes Second at Bobcat Invitational

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Friday evening the Lions raced at the Georgia College Bobcat Invite in Millidgeville, Georgia.  The men were led by Jacob Burgamy, who competed extremely well, finishing 2nd overall with a time of 25:37.  Freshman, Ethan Hargrove stepped up and finished second for the Lions, leading the group of five Emmanuel athletes who finished within sixty-three seconds of one another.  Ethan was followed by Will Boomer and DaMonte Ward, with Jake Morgan close behind to round out the top five runners.  Juwan Lamar and Madison Duggan wrapped up the top seven guys for EC, helping Emmanuel to a third place overall team finish.

"I'm happy to see how the guys really competed as a team today.  Although the times may not have been as fast as last week, the guys raced smart and closed strong, keeping one another much closer than we have in the past," praised Coach Hall.

With this meet, the Lions have wrapped up the regular season and have a few weeks to train until the NCCAA South Region meet at the end of October.
