Men’s Tennis down #25 SCAD – Atlanta for another win!

Atlanta, GA – The Emmanuel Tennis Team traveled to SCAD – Atlanta today to continue their season, now for a non-conference competition

The EC Team was determined to continue their success this season, but the home team proved to be a tough opponent to be beat. This was seen during doubles competition where both courts were holding serves. SCAD was clearly more aggressive on court #1 and the home duo was not interested in exchanging any rallies by either committing early unforced errors or great winners. With a more consistent and conservative play, the Lions composed by the Freshmen, Jarry / Johansen eventually earned the break and the win by 8-6. A similar story was happening on court #2 with Romero / Alcacer. The Bees were trying to overpower the Lions on shot speed but eventually, Emmanuel earned a break to win the match, also by 8-6.

With SCAD defaulting doubles #3 and another two lines in singles play, the match was already clinch at the start of singles play. Emmanuel College still earned another victory with Lucas Sasaki on court #4. The Sophomore had to come back from a set down before earning a victory on a super tiebreaker by 5-7 6-2 10-3.

This marked the 3rd straight victory for the Lions Tennis Team this Season!

Coming up next, Emmanuel will be back on campus this coming Tuesday against a NCAA D-II Regional opponent, the #9 Lander University Bobcats! First serve is scheduled for 1:30PM!
