Saints down Lions in Conference Play

Gaffney, SC – The Emmanuel College Tennis Team Traveled to Limestone College today looking for an important Conference win.

Limestone proved why they have been so efficient this year, with only one loss the whole season in conference play by capturing all 3 wins in doubles. The Lions did fight back, especially on court #2 with Alcacer/Romero trailing by 5-0 before their opponents close the even by 8-4.

The singles play kicked off with the overall score in favor of the home team, which also controlled the rest of the event. The Lions had a chance to grab a point on court #4 with Enrique Alcacer who came back from a 5-0 deficit on the first set and fought back before falling just short by 7-5 3-6 10-7. The sole point of the day came from the Freshman, Guillaume Watteeuw on court #5 by a solid 8-3 win.

The Lions will continue their season, now at home against a NCCAA regional opponent, Brewton Parker College. First serve is scheduled for 2PM!
