SEWANEE, TN --- Friday, October 28th, 2016. The lions traveled to Sewanee, TN for the 16th Annual Sewanee Invite. A two day meet, hosted by Sewanee University of the South.

In the 100 Medley Relay Reichenbach, Carrasquilla, Brown and Raczynski (47.63) placed 2nd.

In the 50 breast Mendoza (27.41) placed 1st, Reichenbach (27.89) placed 2nd, Stigant (28.27) placed 3rd, Carrasquilla (29.52) placed 8th, Jones (30.50) placed 11th, Perry (31.29) placed 15th, Roberts (32.82) placed 18th and Bonna (36.84) placed 22nd.
In the 50 back Aleksandrowicz (23.93) placed 1st, Pendergraft (26.80) placed 3rd, Brown (27.06) placed 4th, Armes (28.49) placed 9th, Roberts (30.25) placed 14th, and Foxworth (33.44) placed 18th.

In the 100 IM Mendoza (53.16) placed 1st, Reichenbach (55.96) placed 4th, Williamson (57.36) placed 7th, Carrasquilla (59.89) placed 17th, Raczynski (1:01.29) placed 19th and Rabern (1:11.00)  placed 27th.

In the 50 Fly Aleksandrowicz (23.06) placed 1st, Mendes (24.64) placed 3rd, Stigant (25.17) placed 4th, Jones (25.43) placed 6th, Brown (25.80) placed 11th, Pendergraft (27.12) placed 19th, Perry (28.12) placed 23rd, Bonna (30.46) placed 28th and Foxworth (30.58) placed 29th.

In the 100 free relay Aleksandrowicz, Mendes, Mendoza, Stigant (39.67) placed 1st.

In the 1650 free Raczynski (16:22.86) placed 1st, Williamson (17:30.87) placed 2nd, Armes (17:52.41) placed 3rd, Mendes (18:57.42) placed 5th and Rabern (20:36.13) placed 6th.

Head Coach, Allen Gilchrest, commented: "The guys swam great tonight, a strong team effort, from Adrian leading the team with 3 firsts and 3 meet records. The guys relay going 39 in the 4x25 is a very fast time. To Camilo winning 3 events and 2 meet records. To the distance guys going 1-2-3 in the mile, and Stan swimming the 1650 in 16:22 which is currently #5 in the country for NCAA Div. II. All 17 guys scored points tonight." GO LIONS!
