Tigerville, SC - Yesterday, the men's soccer team traveled to Tigerville, SC, where they faced conference foe, North Greenville University.
The Lions started strong as Channing Park scored the first goal of the match with an assist by Martin Mitreski within the first several minutes of the game. Unfortunately, the Lions were unable to score again before half time but their fight to score never dropped. Throughout the entire game the Lions had the Crusaders on their toes fighting for every play. With most the the possession percentage going to the Lions the momentum of the game was taking over by the Lions.
The Lions were able to maintain this momentum as well in the second half as Sean Fitz Gerald scored a goal unassisted within the 56th minute. No too far after the second goal around the 67th minute, Danny Cameron was able to score with another assist by Martin Mitreski. The Lions finished with a convincing 3-0 win, giving them their third win in a row.
The Lions will host Barton College on Saturday, October 8, at home, beginning at 4 p.m.
