Lions Drop First Game of the Season

Murfreesboro, N.C. – The Emmanuel Men's soccer team fell, 2-0, to Chowan University in their first game of the season in an away contest.

The Hawks (1-1) scored a pair of unanswered goals while taking nineteen shots in the game, thirteen just in the first half. The Lions (0-1) saw the goalkeeper, senior, Carlos Ramirez (Bogota, Colombia) make two saves along the game.

Craig Russell (Edinburgh, Scottland) and Nick Miller (Athens, GA) combined for four of EC's seven shots.

The other three shot attempts came from Andy Dunnett (Macon, GA), Danny Cameron (Scotland), and Channing Park (Peachtree City, GA).


The Lions will now host Barry University, Monday, Sep. 5 at 2:00 p.m.
