Lions Drop Road Game

Tusculum, TN– The Lions played away against Tusculum College. The Lions fought bravely, but it was not enough this time; They lost by 27-4. Although, the Lions only had one conference game this season and they still have 6 more. They have been having trouble throughout the season but, they are working hard to be successful on the conference games.

Senior Austin Brundage headed up the Lions offensive front with 2 goals out of 4 shots. The remaining offensive points were put up by Sophomore Cam Free who contributed 1 goal  and 1 assist, Junior Tyler Machado contributed 1 goal. The others 3 assists came from Camren Bent ,
Christopher Gerstmyer
and Keaton Underhill.

The defensive had to work really hard to try to stop the Tusculum College. They had a total of 12 penalties spending 11 minutes and 30 seconds on those infractions. Defensively for the Lions Roman Tavani caused 2 turnovers, and 4 groundballs. Tyler Machado , Christopher Gerstmyer and Tyler Pine had an important participation on groundballs contributing with 3 each and the team had a total of 21 groundballs. The team also had 8 faceoffs which they won, and caused 7 turnovers. In the goal for the entire 60 minutes, Freshman Luke Harris had 45 shots taken against him and had 18 saves.

The Lions will be back in action on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel College for their second conference game.
