Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Lacrosse team played their first conference game of the season against North Greenville University. The game ended with 6:44 left in the 4th quarter due to bad weather. It was a difficult start for the Lions which ended in a lost of 15-4.
The Lions played an equally game until 10 minutes into the first quarter when it was 1-1. The 4 goals made by them came from different players, junior Tyler Machado, junior Matt Casey, sophomore Cam Free and senior Austin Brundage. They had 13 shots and 4 for out of the 13 was successful. The senior Tanner Smith was responsible for the only assistance of the game for the Lions.
The Lions defensive side had to work hard to stop North Greenville and they were successful in this many times. Austin Brundage and Cam Free were each responsible for 4 caused turn overs and the Lions combined effort caused 20 turnovers. Tyler Machado had 2 groundballs. In the goal for the entire game was Freshman Luke Harris who had 43 shots taken on him and had 10 saves, limiting the North Greenville to 15 goals.
The Emmanuel Men's Lacrosse still have 6 conferences games left in the season.
