Reese Leads Lions to 2nd Place Finish at NCCAA South Regional Tournament

GREENVILLE, Sc. - Sophomore Logan Reese led the Emmanuel College men's golf team to a second place finish at the NCCAA South Regional Tournament. The Lions shot a two-round score of 611 to finish behind Erskine College at the Green Valley Country Club hosted by Bob Jones University.

The Lions finished +35 for the tournament, 13 shots behind fellow Conference Carolina school Erskine College. Trailing 27 strokes behind Emmanuel was Bob Jones University in third.

Logan Reese finished 2nd overall shooting 148 (+4).  Senior Erik Sundstrom followed just one stroke behind in 3rd place with a score of 149 (+5). Tying for 10th place was Junior Emilio Fanjul shooting 156 (+12). Rounding out the final five were Freshmen Karl Westroth with a score of 160 (+16) and Chase Martin at 163 (+19).

Logan Reese and Erik Sundstrom were both named to the All-Region team for their top five performances.
