MEN SWIM COMPETES AT SCAD INVITE

The lions competed at the 14th Annual SCAD Invite, November 29 - December 1, 2018. The meet included 17 teams and consisted of prelims/finals all 3 days, with the top 16 swimmers qualifying in each event scoring.

In the 200 medley relay, the A relay (Rosa, Courteaux, Mendes, Brown) finished 3rd (1:32.16) the B relay (Jones, Riano, Hayes, Roberts) finished 14th (1:38.15). In the 200 IM, Ander Arruabarrena finished 5th (1:53.58) Hunter Hayes 14th (1:56.48). In the 50 free, Thiago Rosa finished 3rd (20.57) NCAA national qualifying time; Rafael Mendes 8th (21.19). In the 800 free relay, the A relay (Arruabarrena, Raczynski, McGhee, Mendes) finished 3rd (6:53.08) the B relay (Roberts, Andrews, Jones, Hayes) finished 17th (7:35.47).

In the 200 free relay, the A relay (Rosa, Courteaux, Brown, Mendes) finished 4th (1:24.75) the B relay (Roberts, Andrews, Jones, Riano) finished 18th (1:32.92). In the 400 IM, Ander Arruabarrena finished 3rd (3:59.25)  NCAA national qualifying time; Alasdair McGhee 14th (4:09.19) Hunter Hayes 15th (4:10.08). In the 200 free, Stanislas Raczynski finished 9th (1:43.60). In the 100 breast, Theo Courteaux finished 5th (57.09). In the 100 back, Thiago Rosa finished 1st (48.73) NCAA national qualifying time and school record; Ander Arruabarrena 9th (52.04) Hunter Hayes 13th (53.20). In the 400 medley relay, the A relay (Rosa, Courteaux, Arruabarrena, Mendes) finished 5th (3:26.25) the B relay (Hayes, Riano, Brown, Raczynski) 16th (3:35.80).

In the 1650 free, Stanislas Raczynski finished 3rd (15:48.14) NCAA national qualifying time. In the 200 back, Ander Arruabarrena finished 4th (1:50.59) Hunter Hayes 11th (1:54.35) Alasdair McGhee 16th (2:03.61). In the 100 free, Thiago Rosa finished 1st (44.15) NCAA national qualifying time and school record; Rafael Mendes 8th (47.01). In the 200 breast, Theo Courteaux finished 9th (2:07.97). In the 400 free relay, the A relay (Rosa, Arruabarrena, Raczynski, Courteaux) finished 4th (3:08.95) the B relay (Hayes, McGhee, Jones, Roberts) finished 14th (3:20.06).
