ECAC SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 3 FINALS

 

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Lions had a great final night at the ECAC championships.

Thiago Rosa broke the EC record in the 100 free. The men's 400 freestyle relay finished 1st, earning EC's second ECAC conference champion relay.

 

On the women's side:

In the 1650 free, Juana Mafla finished 16th (18:21.65)

In the 200 back, Anna Calka finished 15th (2:09.03)

In the 200 breast, Julia Simioni finished 15th (2:26.43) personal best

In the 200 fly, Clara Monges finished 11th (2:08.51)

In the 400 free relay (Ostojska, Ribeiro, Arnold, Monges) finished 7th (3:34.82)

The women finished in 10th place out of 33 teams. The 9 teams in front are all NCAA Div. I swim teams.

 

On the men's side:

In the 1650 free, Stanislas Raczynski finished 6th (15:36.23)

In the 100 free, Thiago Rosa finished 2nd (44.13) school record, Alex Sobers finished 4th (44.20)

In the 200 breast, Theo Courteaux finished 11th (2:07.00)

In the 200 fly, Mathieu Danjou finished 12th (1:52.17), Santiago Aguilar finished 13th (1:52.43)

In the 400 free relay (Aleksandrowicz, Mendes, Rosa, Sobers) finished 1st (2:58.24) school record

The men finished in 3rd place out of 33 teams, the U.S. Naval Academy (1st) and Colombia University (2nd).
